Selfless Animal Welfare Community
SAWC is a community-driven platform that connects feeders, rescuers, NGOs, shelters and activists so that help for animals becomes easier to find, faster to reach and more coordinated.

Vision • Engineering • Ground ExperienceSAWC was founded by Chhote Lal Jatav, a software engineer with real on-ground experience in feeding, rescuing and supporting street animals. This platform was born from lived reality — seeing animals suffer not because people didn’t care, but because help couldn’t find the helper in time.
Our mission
Every day, countless animals suffer on streets, in backyards and in hidden corners of our cities. There are incredible people trying to help – but they are often invisible or disconnected.
SAWC exists to give them a common identity and a simple tool: a verified directory where anyone can quickly find the right person or organisation to help an animal in need.
What we’re building
- A map of trusted feeders, rescuers, NGOs and shelters.
- Clear profiles with areas, availability and services.
- A way for the public to find help without getting lost in random groups.
- A supportive, non-judgemental space for people who actually take action.
How it started
Real street experience
Feeding & rescuing on the groundSAWC began with personal experiences of feeding and rescuing animals in local neighbourhoods — the confusion of “who to call” during emergencies was constant.
Need for one common place
Too many scattered contacts & groupsNumbers were saved in phones, scattered across WhatsApp groups and stories – but nothing was searchable or structured for people outside those circles.
SAWC directory idea
From chaos to a simple directoryThe idea of a transparent, searchable, community-driven directory became SAWC – a simple way to bring all helpers on one platform.
People behind SAWC
SAWC is still young and growing. The project is led by people who have actually been on the streets feeding, rescuing and coordinating help for animals.
SAWC will always remain a community-first project. As the platform grows, more moderators and regional coordinators will be added from real rescuers and feeders on the ground.
How you can be part of SAWC
SAWC is powered by people who act. If you are feeding animals, rescuing, fostering, running an NGO, shelter or helping in any way – we’d be happy to have you listed.
- Register as an individual feeder / rescuer.
- List your NGO, trust, shelter or rescue group.
- Help us verify and improve data for your city.
